What is a PGA HOPE Ambassador?

A PGA HOPE Ambassador is a military veteran who has graduated from a PGA HOPE Program and has been selected to represent the program in an official capacity. These Ambassadors serve as leaders within the veteran golf community and help grow PGA HOPE's impact.

What do PGA HOPE Ambassadors do?

Ambassadors serve as champions for PGA HOPE in their local areas, promoting the program and its benefits to other veterans. They may volunteer at PGA HOPE Sessions, table at community events to increase brand awareness, recruit participants and partners, connect with other veterans, and share their personal experiences both from the military and throughout the program.

How do veterans become a
PGA HOPE Georgia Ambassador?

Veterans who have gone through a PGA HOPE program and live in the state of Georgia are eligible to fill out an application to become a PGA HOPE Georgia Ambassador. Applications for the 2025-2026 Ambassador close on April 4th, 2025.

Ryan Carr

Ryan Carr is a Georgia native and University of Texas Graduate. After graduation, Ryan commissioned into the Navy and spent several years flying F/A-18E Super Hornets before he was medically retired. While in the Navy, Ryan served at NAS Pensacola, NAS Kingsville, NAS Whiting Field and NAS Lemoore, California and has carrier arrested landings on the USS Gerald R. Ford, USS Carl Vinson and USS Chester Nimitz. Ryan graduated from all of his trainings as a Distinguished Graduate and was a rising star in Naval Aviation before being retired. Ryan now works at the Georgia Tech Research Institute as a Flight Test Engineer and lives in Kennesaw with his wife, Elizabeth, and two children, Leighton and Bennett. He is excited to continue to find ways to impact the veteran community through PGA Hope, all while participating in a game he loves.
